She was busy capturing memories, posing in every other angle and face. Her eyes went towards the little creature roaming out there, she ran towards him to hold him in her arms, to caress him and to take cute pictures where they will be only inches apart. He was so soft and so clean, the white fur felt like silk in her palms. She enjoyed every moment of it and took it all in her heart and also in the memory of her camera card. The little creature darted his tail and ran farther away somewhere. She ran behind him to catch him. It was only in stories that rabbits are swift, she thought but at that moment she was proven wrong.
Panting she sat there down on the lush green grass filled ground, picking them out, her thoughts darted elsewhere. Instead of admiring the beauty, she started being pensive. Life is a little like that, I guess. We’d spend so long chasing after something OR someone already in motion, always out of reach and calling, just ahead. We run behind it for so long, all we get is exhausted and frowned. Ironically, we don’t even accept things or persons running towards us instead we run farther away from it. Is any of it worth it?
Her thoughts weren’t ready to leave but reluctantly she had to leave, Life and time didn’t permit her to sit this long. She stood up and strolled back to her knight who she denied for hundreds of times. He patiently waited for her; she went to him and stood up on her toes just to whisper, “Yes” in his ears.
This is in response to Kritika’s Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge. Her blog is full of wonderful poems and write-ups which actually connects deeply somewhere. Do check her blog! 😀
The challenge is – “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”
My Nomination for Day 1 is Bhumi only because I want her to write more often, she is so lazy. Also, she is amazing and utterly annoying as you get to know her.
